My gerbils love it, and I like that it doesn't have those green pellets that every gerbil I have ever had has hated. I found myself throwing away a lot of gerbil food because they didn't eat the pellets, but this food is wonderful! They love the pumpkin seeds and you can pick them out of the bag and save them to give them just as treats if you like. This 2 pound bag should last my 3 young gerbils about 2 months (I had a 1.75 pound bag of other gerbil food that lasted half that time because I had to throw out so much!). They say that if you just leave the food the gerbils don't like in their bowl that they will eventually be forced to eat it, but I don't like doing that to them; I don't want them to have to force down food they hate. Now with this food I don't have to! They love every bit and it makes me feel like a good 'parent' to give them the best quality food made specifically for them that they enjoy.A lot of additives for an expensive food. Also a LOT of corn. Like holy cornflakes, seriously?That said, my Gerbils do seem to like the food. It's a much better quality of food than the stuff at the store with those nasty pellets in it. I mix this food with their other food to balance it out a bit better. It was nice to see the mixture of seeds as well. My girl Pumpkin loves the Pumpkin seeds. All in all, other than the overabundance of corn, this is a fairly decent food. 3 stars due to so much corn and the price for so much corn.I had heard good things about this food, but I was skeptical because all gerbil food seemed to be the same. I'd been trying a different brand of food every time I need a new bag (Brown's, Vita Prima, Higgins, several Kaytee mixes, Walmart brand, etc..). But this is the one food that my gerbils will eat every morsel of - any other food I tried, they would skip certain pellets or seeds until only that one kind was left. They seem to really enjoy this food - every time I refill the bowl, they come and get their favorite piece and go hide to eat it so the other one can't take it from them. This is the one we came back for.My gerbil was not eating any of the other foods I had bought her, she would only eat sunflower seeds. Well I purchased this food and honestly she loves it! I limit her to one, sometimes two, of the pumpkin seeds or she will gorge on those. But this is an amazing food. She also had chronic sore nose, from a weakened immune system and lack of proper nutrients among some other things that worsened it (abrasive chew things). But with proper care and the help of this food it is no longer chronic. Very pleased. And Clementine appears to be happy too :)This product has been replaced/repackaged with My two gerbils LOVE this stuff. When I first got them, I experimented with Oxbow rings (too boring) and big box pet store food (too much junk), but I couldn't find something they would readily eat and had the right nutritional blend. Those little fur-friends eat every morsel of their Gerri Gerbil food and it appears to do them good. They've maintained a good weight and have had no health problems since I got them. They seem to like the variety and I think it keeps them from getting bored with the food. I order 2 bags at a time and freeze one. Highly recommend!I just purchased two gerbils over the weekend. The cage I bought for them came with gerbil/hamster food but after doing reading online regarding about a gerbil's preferred and healthy diet I was recommended this brand by many breeders and gerbil owners. The hamster/gerbil food that comes from pet stores is not healthy for gerbils as sunflower and pumpkin seeds are high in fat and can make gerbils overweight. They also don't eat all the food. I immediately switched to this brand and they loved every portion of it, eating it all. Will buy consistently from now on.This gerbil food was recommended by the pocket pet rescue organization in my city. Amazon was the easiest way for me to get it. My daughters gerbils love this food and I know it is good for them. The food has has a variety of dried fruit and seeds etc... They bury it in the bedding of their tank. The delivery and service from the company was also top notch. Very satisfied with the entire purchase.
