The bowl itself is quite small and shallow, and best suited to cats with regulated portions or smaller diets - not the free feeding great unwashed.Dimensions listed should be noted before purchasing as the product is modeled by very small cats that may not provide an accurate scale comparison to your plump 16-pound fur baby. I would also recommend one bowl per cat as it is not large enough for multiples. At the time of this review, there were a few limited other color combinations, however, that do offer a deeper/larger bowl. I have not tried those but they may potentially be big enough for two cats. Or one fatty with a large appetite.Nonetheless, if the size suits, this bowl makes a stylish addition to any cat household. If you are not inclined to typical pet accessories that stick out like a sore thumb and ruin your interior design, this cat bowl is likely to blend in perfectly with modern household decor and spark joy.The product is well-made and thoughtfully designed. The height of the pedestal aids healthy pet posture while eating. I ordered the tallest version and the bowl feels secure on its pedestal due to black rubber stoppers at the top helping to hold it in place and prevent it from sliding around. It is also nicely balanced and should not fall over too easily from normal pet use within reason.Care was taken in the shipping and packaging to prevent damage. Even the pedestal legs were wrapped in individual pink mittens at the top.Definitely a luxury product, though at $89.99, some might find this far too steep for what is ultimately a bowl for a creature that would happily gobble cheese flavored Friskies out of a can if you let it. Ultimately, the luxury factor lies in the quality and aesthetics, and is more for the owners. It’s a pet bowl, but also a piece of decor.First—this is clearly a "high end" product. I love my cats and think they're worth it, but this sort of investment definitely isn't for everyone. I have a Savannah (longer-legged than average cat) but got the shorter height out of concern that he'd still be able to knock over the taller size. Now that I have the shorter one, I'm not sure that my concern was valid, but it still works for him. It's taller than the box I was using to raise the height of his bowl before, and I put his bowl inside the bowl provided so I can fix multiple portions and refrigerate separate meals and leftovers (I feed rehydrated freeze-dried raw with some supplements mixed in). Luckily for me, the bowls I have nest perfectly into the provided bowl, which I would use if I didn't have my own multiple-bowl-dependent system. I might consider getting the taller size for my taller cat and letting my shorter cat have this model.Overall, it's very well-made, with great attention to detail and aesthetics (and aesthetics are important to me); it came nicely packaged also. The directions are all in Japanese, so have your Google Translate app ready if you want to see what it says. My one quibble with it is that the 'non-slip' feet are not very non-slip, though that may depend on the floor surface you place it on. The height makes it more difficult to get the leverage to push it across the floor, but a very determined animal still might be able to do it. I have the stand on a silicone mat, which makes it harder to move and mostly eliminates the problem. The non-slip feature is important for me, as I feed my cat on top of a mini-fridge (he's has a pretty high-strung temperament, so the elevation makes him less nervous), and I wouldn't want the whole thing to come crashing down.None of the elevated, tilted cat bowls have worked quite right for my senior cat. Her food would always end up on the higher back part of the bowl, where she couldn't really reach it. But this one is the perfect size for her to easily eat her food!This arrived in a box wrapped tightly in bubble wrap, inside an outer box with additional air pillows.Why all that packaging and cushioning? Just extra assurance against damage.Inside all this shipping packaging, the bowl is inside a clear plastic cube. and sleeve. Sliding that out, there is a heavy ceramic bowl in a stout light blue painted frame. All that extra weight is good for keeping this bowl from turning over during feeding.This is a small bowl and a frame that elevates it about 6 inches. Should make any kitty feel appreciated. It's a simple but elegant form.If you're pinching pennies, this is not the bowl for you. But if you spare no expense for your kitties then give this luxury bowl due consideration.I gave this to a friend who has a cat who's getting on in years. They (my friend and the cat) loved it. That's Daisy (the cat) in the picture eating her first meal out of the bowl. She took to it like , , , well, you know.The packaging was very nice, as was the way the ends of the sturdy stand were protected with little cloth bootees. The well designed bowl and stand fit together nicely, and, after a little minor apprehension about being eye-to-eye with her dinner, she dug right in. And, on top of it all, it looks good. My friend and Daisy the Cat said to give it five stars!This bowl is very nice and works great but there is nothing so special about it that it should cost so freaking much.
