My Oriental is finicky, she loves this, because I don’t care for the ingredients I also feed her a healthy food,My husband likes to give her this. I like the large pieces for teeth. Wish it wasn’t corn based but she has been eating eight years and it hasn’t hurt her or made her gain weight. I don’t think it would be good as only food. Ideal Balance was her main food until they discontinued, the ingredients were the best I ever found, why do these company’s stop making good products!I hope Royal Canin gets this Siamese Cat food back into production. My cat loved it, and she tolerated it. Most dry foods made her ill. I will get ore the day it is available.So, I've been using this food for my two "Siamese-hybrid" cats -- a Burmese and a Tonkinese (a cross between a Burmese and Siamese) -- for about a year and it has been wonderful for all of us! Not only do they seem to love the taste, but the reason I started using it was because my Burmese was having seriously stinky butt problems. Pepe LePew had nothing on this little girl! Thinking it was medical (possibly clogged anal glands), I took her to my wonderful cat vet, who told me to try the Royal Canin breed-specific foods. Almost immediately after putting her on this, her smelly butt magically disappeared -- I kid you not!!! I was also having some problems with my Tonkinese throwing up his other food (we used to use I*ms). After putting him on Royal Canin, his regurgitating has been dramatically reduced. Main problem is he's a glutton and just loves this food; just gulps it down way too quickly. Still, he only throws up about once or twice a week now -- instead of one or twice per day (he's only 3-years-old and in excellent kitten-like health). No, this is NOT inexpensive cat food, but both I believe you get what you pay for. I'd rather have fewer vet bills with a high quality food than the other way around. Also, higher quality food means LESS POOP because more nutrition stays inside your cat. While I can't speak for the other varieties of this product (e.g., Persian), the Siamese food has been wonderful!My Siamese is almost 18 years old and he is still as svelte as a young cat and he has a sleek coat. He has been eating this food for more than 10 years and refuses to eat other dry food. Constant throwing up has got to be horrible for our cat. We have tried everything. And he hates everything. The puking is down by 75% easily. He was on Royal Canin Stomach Sensitive which was the best results at the time. My husband saw this and we were intrigued. So we ordered a bag. If it didn’t help we could always donate it to the Shelter...like all the other 30 brands we tried from before. So here’s our feeding plan. We were worried at first because he circled the bowl about 5 or 6 times. He’s so picky. So we stopped wringing our hands and walked away. Soon, we heard crunching! It was like angels singing. So far so good. We feed him in a gulp proof bowl....they sell them on Amazon and we elevate his food and water dishes.Royal Canin has shelved the Siamese Formula and now Siamese owners are scrambling to find it to try and mix/wean their cats to a different food formula. I paid $58 for a bag that would normally be $19.99 or half the size of the large bags. Yes. I checked the weight before I hit the purchase button and realized it was the smaller bag. I have no choice. But, one would think retailers would be decent about the situation and not gouge people. Truly an unfortunate situationWe normally buy this from the local pet food store, but it has been out of stock due to supply chain issues. The only place we were able to order it from was Amazon. Thank goodness, because the kitties just love the stuff! Big pieces are well suited for cats with big strong teeth, who like to really crunch down on their kibble.
